Hiroshima Day observance and nonviolent resistance at Lockheed Martin, King of Prussia, PA

The atomic bombing of Hiroshima wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people in the blast and firestorm; tens of thousands more would later die of radiation exposure. Three days after Hiroshima the U.S. dropped another A-bomb on Nagasaki, killing an estimated 40,000 people, and thousands more from the delayed effects of radiation poisoning.

On July 7, 2017 –- following a decade of advocacy by International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) and its partners -– an overwhelming majority of the world’s nations adopted a landmark global agreement to ban all nuclear weapons, known officially as the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.  Support the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, click on link http://www.icanw.org/the-treaty .

Today, there is a growing, worldwide movement pressing for the abolition of nuclear weapons, to end, once and for all, the scourge of nuclear weapons upon the earth.

On Monday, August 6, beginning at Noon, Resist Lockheed Martin, the world’s #1 war profiteer and #1 nuclear weapons contractor in the United States.
