DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n(Brandywine Peace Community Peace Banner Display at Independence Mall\,  4th of July\, July 2021) \n  \nSat.\, July 2nd\, 1p.m. — NEARING 50…Peace Banner Display & Bell-Tolling \nwith Historic Readings from Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, Dorothy Day\, Rev. Daniel Berrigan\, Cesar Chavez\n\nPeople’s Plaza\, Independence Mall\,Market Street\, at 5th Street\, in Philadelphia.\nStop and Partake in a visual and quiet bell-tolling experience in nonviolent resistance and peacemaking.\nThe display will be comprised of  large\, colorful\, and dramatic banners\,  from the Brandywine Peace Community’s compelling   history of anti-war protest and nonviolent resistance over the past four decades\, from 1977 to NOW.\nThroughout the display our decades-0ld peace bell will toll and participants will stand or sit (on folding chairs they bring) while holding a poster available at the display conveying a message of hope and our Independence Day plea of peace and justice in our communities and around the world\, justice among people and with the earth.\nParticipants are invited to come and go during the display\, standing with a message poster\, or to sit (bring your folding chair).\nFor more information call bob at 215-843-4827  or e-mail:brandywine@juno.com\n\n\n \n\n \n
