SUMMARY:Re-scheduled due to March snowstorm...EYE IN THE SKY at the Peace Center of Delaware County. A disturbing look behind the curtain of drone warfare
DESCRIPTION:\nEye in the Sky\n2016\, Drama\, 103 minutes. Directed by Gavin Hood. Written by Guy Hibbert. Rated R for violence\, language\, and emotional intensity. \nEye in the Sky is a smart politically-charged dramatic/thriller that captures the ethical dilemma at the heart of drone warfare. The ensemble scene is set in two command centers\, one in England\, the other in the U.S.\, where “pilots” [drone operators] guide war drones by remote control\, attacking suspected terrorists thousands of miles away.\nOscar winner\, Helen Mirren\, and Alan Rickman are excellent as British military officers trying to eliminate terrorists. Aaron Paul plays the U.S. drone pilot assigned to carry out the heart wrenching killing mission. \nThe film is a disturbing peek behind the curtain that separates the public from the reality of today’s warfare. You\, the viewer\, is left wondering what you would do if you were there—and how you would live with it for the rest of your life. \n CLICK here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxp0TYHef6M  to see the film’s trailer!\n
